Intelligence Management
Littoralis'™ Intelligence Management Database (IMD) is a powerful tool for managing incident reports and monitoring the individuals associated with them - either offenders or victims.
Each Littoralis™ intranet
can be configured to email a copy of each incident report submitted by a member to any number of nominated third parties - the police for example - at the same time as it is sent to the partnership itself. Each new incident report is also added to the Littoralis™ IMD to which only the partnership administrator has access. Now he or she can choose to add automatically generated incident summaries to the intranet if appropriate with just one click - no need to re-key any data. And individual reports can be sent on to police contacts - or any other third party as required - again, with just a click of a button.
Once processed, each incident can be associated with multiple offenders if appropriate. IMD also enables the partnership to review each offender's track record at any time, and make it easy to monitor Yellow Cards or the Warnings status of offenders. At any time the partnership can extract data for each offender, including all incident reports, in a format suitable for sending to third parties for the purpose of gathering evidence for prosecution etc - all with just one click. The partnership can also set the outcome of each incident - charged, cautioned, no futher action or 'other' -
to monitor each incident on an incident-by-incident basis.
IMD also includes an optional Geographical Information Systems (GIS) which enables partnerships to constantly monitor offenders and vulnerable people alike, in order to identify individuals of special interest, and to prompt 'early interventions'. The GIS maps each Offender or Vulnerable Person by Post Code and shows graphically the level of activity of each. Partnerships can 'drill-down' to analyse the spread of incidents associated with each Offender or Vulnerable Person, and can identify areas where offenders and vulnerable people are closely co-located.
The system can prompt special monitoring or early-stage interventions by a suitable agency or agencies, and includes a mechanism to report on the outcome of each incident report/intervention. It generates analysis and reports to agencies within the partnership, at individual level, or consolidated into comprehensive historical data. A sub-set of the same information - but without reference to individuals - is automatically generated in a form suitable for publication to local residents on the locations and types of incidents reported/interventions, and providing information about the effectiveness of the partnership in crime-reduction.
